A safe New Year's Eve is a party for everyone.
Some people in Amsterdam think that fireworks are part of the New Year's Eve, while others have a lot of trouble with them. How do we ensure that New Year's Eve can be celebrated festively and safely? To find out, the Municipality of Amsterdam went in search of a different approach to old and new.
Amsterdammers had to be stimulated to give their opinion, idea and suggestion for celebrating old and new in the capital. Together with the Municipality, we developed a cross-media awareness campaign with a clear message: Amsterdam wants to celebrate a festive and safe New Year's Eve. Without nuisance. Commissioned by Key Agency. |

To loosen up the interviewees, we provided visuals with provocative questions, striking animations, and interviews with Amsterdammers who talk about their (varying) experiences with New Year's Eve.
The campaign consisted of various online and offline expressions. Street graffiti, various social media ads on Facebook and Instagram, but also a shareable video specially developed for sharing via WhatsApp. Everything led to the Municipal website where a 'fireworks-free package' could be requested. With that package, the applicant could indicate, together with neighbours, that no fireworks are set off in their part of the street/neighbourhood. |
